Red Eyed Tree Frog
Greens, pinks and browns
In this rain forest so many vibrant colors
Look really closely and you will see
A beautiful tree frog in disguise
Trying so hard to look like the plant it is on
Red eyes looking this way and that
Trying to find the perfect hiding spot
What will he find who knows
But he better not fall otherwise he must climb again.
My Poem of Goya- The Exucution of the Rebels of the 3rd of May, 1808
Goya- Execution of the Rebels of the 3rd of May, 1808
Woe is them, woe is them
Brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers
Cornered by the wretched soldiers
All they want to do is get out of this wicked and evil place.
Why do the soldiers come for them?
Why do they always end up in a horrible position?
Crying, screams of terror fill the cold, dark, dead street as the soldiers kill three of them
Blood flows everywhere
And through the sickening blood a man stands up with his hands raised highss
This saintly man is illuminated and everybody knows he is there for them
He blocks the people who were to be shot
This man, this great man welcomes his death and his travel up to heaven
Because he knows when he gets there God will reward him greatly for his bravery
But the rest are scared, scared for this man
They know what happens to men who stand up to these soldiers
And the soldiers just stand there unable to move
They think “Why does this man stand up to us when all cower down to us”
The brothers, sisters, mothers, and fathers, and soldiers too
Stand motionless and wait for his demise.
